Garnet has accompanied humankind since ancient Egypt. It was made into travel amulets: it has remained the stone of constancy and faithful friendship.

Where it comes from

Rhodolite, from the Greek rhodon, the rose, is the most luminous of the red garnets, between purple and raspberry. The finest come from Tanzania and Sri Lanka.

What it becomes

Its warm colour suits yellow gold as well as rose gold. In a ring or earrings, it brings depth without ever shouting.
